Is there any way to connect an XBOX 360 to a monitor without the XBOX 360 VGA HD AV Cable?

You'll have to get the VGA AV cable if you want to hook it up to your monitor since your monitor only has VGA input. There are some generic cables available that are a little cheaper. Gamestop also sells used ones for $9.99.
