Is it a sad love story?

Hello I am Chilean and I had a British boyfriend. When I was in Chile, I was fall in love with a guy. He was my cute classmate when I was 10 or 11 years old in 1992. Well we liked each other, played and lived near and we sat closer at school but he left the city at the end of year and he moved to another city. I didnt see him before until 2008 when he found me through facebook. Well he was excited to find me, same as me. He told me , he always remembers me and He has never forgotten me..our encounter was so magical and powerful. But the problem he had a relationship with another girl who he was engaged but he told me he loved me and he wanted to break with her but the girl who was a nursey got a strange illness and finally he told me he had to return with her because she was ill and he didn�t have the heart to leave her in that way although he will always love me . At the end, we ended up our hidden realtionship. I undersand him because it was unfair for her.What is your opinion about that..Is a sad story? I felt like candy candy cartoon but its a real love story. Well if I tell my story to my Brit, he will kill me or not?
