What is safe to put in my Chilean Rose Tarantula's tank?

I just got a Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula and there isn't anything in her tank except for bedding and a water bowl. I'm going to get a little shelter for her, but I want to put some other stuff in there for her to run around in. As in, can I just grab anything out of my back yard and stick it in there?
