2010 - 2011 World News Events?

I am working on this paper for school and I need to make a list of ten news events that has happened recently in the end of 2010 or 2011. I just can't seem to find many news events online, but what I have so far is the BP Oil Spill off the Gulf of Mexico, Japanese Earthquake, Osama Bin Laden's death, the Chilean Miners trapped, and birds falling from the sky. I need just a few more events. Do you have any news events that you could name? Thank you!
